Measures in Place as of May 14th

Workplaces

General Measures

  • Hybrid mode, if applicable.
  • Physical distancing (1m), presence of physical barriers or wearing a quality mask* is still recommended, but no longer mandatory in the workplace.
  • Each employer can decide to request the use of masks for employees in the workplaces.
  • Workers that are symptomatic or have tested positive must follow self-isolation instructions and must continue to be temporarily excluded from their workplace.

Transportation (bus, plane, car, elevator)

  • A quality mask* at all times is still mandatory
  • Limited food & drink consumption

Dining rooms and washrooms

  • No physical distancing or physical barriers during food consumption
  • Wearing a quality mask when there is no food consumption

*A quality mask is a medical mask complying with ASTM F2100 or EN 14683 type IIR standards, a mask certified by the Bureau de normalization du Québec (BNQ) or a respirator N95

Elders Homes

 

Measures differ depending on whether there is an outbreak in the facility. Additional measures may apply.

Informal caregivers and visitors must:

  • Comply with basic health instructions
  • Wear a medical procedural mask in accordance with current guidelines upon arrival to the facility
  • Respect physical distancing of 2m at all times
  • Not have been in isolation for COVID-19 or have any symptoms related to COVID-19

An informal caregiver or visitor may visit more than once during the same day.

Sports and Leisure Activities

  • No specific restrictions in place, regular activities are maintained.

Public Transit

  • Masks are required on all public transit.
  • Travellers are advised to do a rapid test within 24h of departure.
  • Travels to Nunavik require the Vaccine Passport (Transport Canada regulations).
  • No travel is allowed for 10 days following a positive COVID-19 test result or after symptoms are present.
