NRBHSS Netiquette

Netiquette is the set of conventions regarding respect which governs the conduct of Internet users, particularly concerning e-mail exchanges, publications and comments on social media networks.

The objective of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services’ presence on social media and on the Web is to inform the population of its activities as well as events in the Nunavik health and social services sector in general. Enriching discussions and exchanges on relevant topics are welcome and encouraged.

The NRBHSS’ social media accounts are managed exclusively by our Communications team.

The NRBHSS reserves the right to modify the rules of use at all times and without prior notice.

Moderation

The NRBHSS is committed to ensuring monitoring and moderation of its Facebook page during office hours, that is, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., except on statutory holidays. During exceptional periods, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, particular efforts may be deployed for the purpose of moderating the Facebook page outside the regular schedule (earlier in the morning, during evenings and on weekends).

All comments are read and taken into consideration. However, the NRBHSS cannot reply to all posted messages and comments.

To foster a pleasant, courteous and secure forum for exchange respectful of all users, certain comments may be deleted without notice, if they consist of:

  • defamatory, insulting, hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic or sexist comments;
  • advertising in any form whatsoever;
  • comments not relevant to the topic of the post;
  • confidential information concerning the poster themselves or another party or information that enables identification of an individual.
Respect for privacy and protection of personal information

Each Internet user is responsible for their own words and for checking the accuracy of their statements. Each Internet user is responsible for the information they provide as well as for the protection of their privacy and respect for the privacy of others by not publishing confidential information or information that enables identification of an individual.

If an Internet user chooses to post photos or videos on this page, they must obtain the consent of the persons appearing therein.

The NRBHSS is bound by the rules of confidentiality relative to the personal information it receives, particularly through private messages. The NRBHSS will not deal with a specific case or file through social media or reveal confidential information.
