About Respite Services
Respite Services provide temporary care for a person living with a functional limitation, allowing caregivers to take a break, rest, attend appointments, travel, or manage personal responsibilities.
Respite is an important tool for maintaining caregiver well-being and preventing burnout.
Available respite options
- Overnight caregiver respite
Temporary overnight stays with a trusted person designed to provide caregivers with short-term relief while ensuring their loved one receives safe and appropriate support.
- Respite stays
Planned short stays of maximum one month with a supported living resource where individuals can participate in activities while caregivers take time to rest.

- Ayagutaq Elders Home (Inukjuak) – partnership currently in development
